The Chicago Cubs Key To Success Is In The Bunt

The bunt used to be thought of as a punk move to make in Major League Baseball. You essentially are sacrificing your hit to advance the runner on base. But the Chicago Cubs are using the bunt in a very strategic way making it a hidden weapon.

First there was this walk off bunt last season for the win in the 12th inning against Seattle. Yes, you read that correctly a walk off bunt for the win.

Then yesterday the Cubs Kyle Schwarber executed the bunt to end all bunts. A ball so perfectly placed that it cause the Brewers to stare at it as it creeped up the third base line for a hit. Genius!
